I just received a custom metal sign from The Steel Fork’s shop for my birthday that spells out “YES.” The present was simple but meant a lot to me because if anyone knows me they know when I get I excited I just scream that YES out loud. The Steel Fork is a shop run by Ben and Kate Gatski out in Bloomsburg, PA which is a town I lived near for a short period of time when I moved around a lot. There are tons of farms and rolling hills surrounding this small and charming town.
Ben and Kate took farming and mixed it into a creative art form of reusing old farm equipment and transforming them into furniture and decor. I have to say my favorites are the metal signs but there are so many beautiful pieces to choose from.
Bio: “Ben is a welder, a farmer, artist and dad. Kate is a creator, cook, entrepreneur and mom. Together they established Gatski Metal in 2003. Gatski Metal designs and fabricates unique metalworks using reycled farm machinery parts. Prior to Gatski Metal Ben operated an organic dairy business and Kate organized educational events for farmers in sustainable agriculture. Now, they are making all their passions visible at The Steel Fork!”
