Colorize Pittsburgh: Troy Hill

Colorize Pittsburgh is off to an amazing start! Troy Hill seems to be one of those neighborhoods that is trying to change but seems to get pushed aside sometimes. According to Colorize Pittsburgh: “Troy Hill wanted a public art piece on their wall for 21 years.” So they just finished this huge wall with 1 month of prep work and just 24 hours of labor! Wow! So now when you are in the neighborhood or across the river in the Strip District, you can clearly see this in your view.

I really love this color scheme, it’s bright, bold and so eye catching. The efforts for this particular project involved Leah Bevilacqua and Stephanie Brunner who run Colorize Pittsburgh and volunteers from the Troy Hill neighborhood.

They are in the process of working on their next project and coming up with ideas for the winter. I will keep you posted. All paint was donated by PPG
